Quick Fat Loss
Turn on the television and you are likely to see ads promising quick fat loss without much effort on your part. The ads sound so convincing, and feature great examples of before and after pictures. It makes it hard to resist at least giving such products a try.
As hard as it might seem, you should absolutely resist any product or program that promises quick fat loss. For the sake of argument, let’s go on the assumption that such claims are true. If you use their products, you really will lose 10 pounds – or even more! – every week. If that’s true, it is very unhealthy.
According to experts, any weight loss of more than two to three pounds per week is too rapid. In addition to being unhealthy, it is highly unlikely that weight lost that quickly is going to stay off. As soon as you stop using the product or go off of the eating plan, you will more than likely gain back every pound you lost.
The problems above were assuming that the product would work as promised, but often they do not. In either case any product or program that promises such quick fat loss should be avoided.

Instead, you should aim to lose weight at the rate of about two to three pounds per week. If you are drastically changing your way of eating, for example, going from fast food every night to a healthy diet, you may experience a greater weight loss in the first few weeks. This should, however, level off fairly quickly as your body adjusts to your new way of eating.
It is a good idea to skip all of the fad diets and instead opt for a healthy way of eating that you will be able to stick with for the rest of your life. There are many books that discuss healthy eating, but be careful that you do not choose one that suggests you eliminate a certain type of food, such as carbohydrates.
The best thing you can do if you are fairly new to the idea of healthy eating is to talk to a nutritionist. If you go through your doctor, such a visit may be covered by insurance. Even if it is not, it is well worth the investment.
The nutritionist will be able to lay out an eating plan that is both realistic and truly healthy. She will also be able to analyze your current diet to point out where you may be falling short. Some people are trying to eat healthy but they are making some common mistakes that could be corrected in just one or two visits to a nutritionist.
What is the point of quick fat loss if you are doing something that is not healthy for your body? Also, what is the point if the weight is just going to come right back as soon as you go back to eating normally?
The ads that promise such rapid weight loss are only interested in getting your credit card number. You don’t need to take a pill, eat a specially formulated cookie or starve yourself in order to lose weight.
Quick fat loss is not healthy fat loss. Instead, you should embark on a way of eating that is best for your body. When you do that, the weight loss will come naturally and you’ll be far less likely to gain it back.
